Sun Air celebrates two decades of charter
Sun Air Jets is proud to commemorate a landmark 20-year achievement and is excited to see what the next two decades hold for the organisation as it continues to grow.
The southern California-based private charter operator and aircraft management company received its FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate in 2003.

Sun Air Jets is thrilled to be celebrating the milestone 20th anniversary of its charter division. The southern California-based private charter operator and aircraft management company received its FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate on 20 June, 2003 and has since grown into a multifaceted aviation business with more than 100 employees and multiple locations. It also provides aircraft maintenance as well as FBO and hangar services.

The company relies on the partnerships it has created with operations teams at Van Nuys and Camarillo airports as well as the brokers and other industry companies that it works with on a day-to-day basis and, of course, its dedicated team of employees.

“I worked here when the company was started and our charter certificate began 20 years ago,” says CEO Brian Counsil. “It’s a thrill to recall the stories of our history and to have seen the growth of our charter business. We have a bright future ahead of us, and we are all excited to see where it will lead us.”
