Spirit Aeronautics, an avionics solutions provider for business, special missions and military aircraft based at John Glenn Columbus International airport in Columbus, Ohio, has announced its certification as an FAA repair station at its Fort Worth Meacham International airport location. Serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in Texas, Spirit Aeronautics operates from a 70,000 sq ft hangar facility, providing avionics modifications and flight line support for aircraft operators. Spirit Aeronautics provides leading-edge avionics installation and complex modifications.

FAA repair station rules are specific on who can perform maintenance and approve an aircraft, airframe, engines, etc., for return to service after maintenance has been performed. FAA expectations for repair station personnel, training, facilities and infrastructure are higher than for a typical MRO. These stringent standards, coupled with Spirit Aeronautics' own stellar reputation for quality and excellence, are why as an FAA-certified repair station, Spirit is the best option for aircraft maintenance and repairs.

“This is a significant milestone in Spirit's history,” states Rick Ochs, CEO of Spirit Aeronautics. “Our Texas clients have asked us for years to stand up a new operation in the DFW metroplex. We answered by building a world-class team of avionics experts operating out of Meacham Airport in Fort Worth. Our growth in the southwest region is accelerating beyond expectations. Spirit's Texas team has become a magnet for many new business relationships.”
