GlobeAir lets influencers lead on climate concept
With demand for private jet charter rising in Europe, Austrian-based Citation Mustang operator GlobeAir has decided to add a Climate JetCard concept to its jet card offering.
Read this story in our September 2022 printed issue.

GlobeAir has launched an innovative jet card programme in partnership with Switzerland-based Climate Jet Club (CJC). The Cessna Citation Mustang operator caters mainly to business people and sports and entertainment celebrities, the sort of clientele who are conscious of their eco-responsibility and want to set an example. The Climate Jet Club membership is offered under the #DreamTeam for Climate JetClub label.

Frequent flyers can choose between carbon compensation, methane capture and carbon capture, and they will be entitled to use the Club's logo on their marketing material. The GlobeAir Climate JetCard programme will also allow perks to members such as waiving specific fees, better cancellation policies and guaranteed availability. The service will be handled from Geneva by Charles Hergott, who established the Climate JetClub in August 2021.

“Charles showed me his idea in September 2021, just as the flight activity was restarting, and I thought it was a great idea,” says GlobeAir VP sales Jonathan Berdoz. “Charles came to Linz in February, we signed an agreement during EBACE in May, and after finalising our common message and marketing strategy, we are pleased to finally be able to propose this to our preferred customers.”

Of the more than 200 jet card programmes throughout the industry, the company says the Climate JetCard is the only one focusing on awareness. It is also the only one that, because of a carbon-based accounting method, allows for different aircraft types and worldwide coverage without additional fees.
