DC Aviation has held an opening celebration to present its new hangar at Oberpfaffenhofen airport. Around 100 guests will visit the 6,000 sqm of hangar space with its designer lounge, conference area and a separate crew lounge. The business jet operator will offer aircraft handling and line maintenance for customer aircraft at the newly established site.

CEO Michael Kuhn says: “The opening of the new location at Oberpfaffenhofen airport is another milestone in the strategic expansion of our presence. In the future, our customers will benefit from its excellent connections to the Munich business location and the Five Lakes region. Only 25 kilometres from the city centre, Oberpfaffenhofen airport is more conveniently located than Munich airport. With our own parking lot at the hangar, easy check-in and direct access to the aircraft, transfer times for our customers have been considerably shortened.”

The Oberpfaffenhofen facility will service DC Aviation’s owned managed fleet and will handle all DC Aviation operated flights and subcharters, as well as ferry maintenance flights. Additionally, it will service aircraft from other operators that have booked parking space in the hangar.

In addition to its newly established subsidiary in Munich, DC Aviation operates a 5,000 sqm hangar at Stuttgart airport as well as a 12,500 sqm maintenance facility at Al Maktoum International airport in Dubai.
