Brisbane, Queensland-based Avmin Air Charter has recently expanded its operations with a new Cairns headquarters.

This move reinforces the company’s expansion in the region, providing Fly In Fly Out logistics to the Kingston Pumped Storage Hydro project. The company has also extended its contract with the Queensland Government to the end of September 2022, to fly medical staff and supplies to the remote regions of Far North Queensland and the Torres Strait.

“The Cairns branch embodies our commitment to unparalleled service and ensuring that the travel requirements of both corporate clients and individual customers are met,” says managing director Paul O’Brien. “As domestic and international borders begin to open, our Cairns office will also allow us to have aircraft and helicopters available in readiness for a revival of travel activity throughout the tourist region.”

The company has also enrolled in the Wyvern Broker membership programme. Wyvern Brokers have access to its Aviation Compliance Enhancement System (ACES) data platform, which allows them to be the smartest charter buyers in the industry.

Avmin is now eligible to provide clients with a Pilot & Aircraft Safety Survey (PASS) report, which verifies that the operator, aircraft and crew meet the Wingman Standard, the global benchmark in safety. ACES also enables Wyvern brokers to establish custom safety analysis reports to meet their needs.

Wyvern uses state-of-the-art technology and hands-on data mining to obtain accurate real-time data, which includes training documents, crew currency, insurance levels, maintenance training and additional relevant information. Thousands of data points are reviewed both manually and within the system every day.
