SmartSky makes GAT a sales and installation partner
SmartSky Networks has added Global Aviation Technologies as a sales and installation provider for advanced shipsets. Together, they can deliver immediate, dependable and secure connectivity on business aircraft.
The SmartSky air-to-ground in-flight connectivity solution is now available from Global Aviation Technologies.

US air-to-ground (ATG) inflight connectivity provider SmartSky Networks welcomed FAA-certified repair station Global Aviation Technologies as a sales and installation provider for advanced shipsets at its Wichita, Kansas location.

SmartSky's flagship equipment, including aircraft antennas and an aircraft base radio, is now available for more than 4,000 aircraft covered by existing supplemental type certificates (STCs).

Director of MRO account management Aria Bahawdory says: “Having achieved roughly 80 per cent coverage in 2021, and on our way to full CONUS coverage next quarter, we're excited to establish new sales and installation partners at every segment of the market and bring our innovative inflight connectivity to the skies. We're delighted to be working with Global Aviation Technologies as it shares our vision of technical integrity and excellence. Together we will challenge the status quo for inflight connectivity and deliver superior value for the legacy business aviation aircraft it supports.”

Global Aviation Technologies vice president of business development Woody Cottner adds: “SmartSky is an impressive addition to our portfolio of services. Its inflight connectivity service and innovative hardware offer an unmatched experience and are a great fit for the aircraft we service and support."

SmartSky's products and services include three interrelated offerings: the best-in-class, next-generation air-to-ground network; advanced shipset hardware for aircraft communications; and Skytelligence, a transformational digital platform and application-layer.
