Washington-headquartered completion centre Greenpoint Technologies has signed a contract with an undisclosed client for two VVIP Boeing 787-9 interior completions.

Greenpoint's widebody and narrow body interior completion expertise, as well as its technical knowledge, played a vital role in this contract award. Nearly 10 years ago, Greenpoint committed to becoming the world's leading Boeing 787 completion centre, investing in substantial research and development in order to master the intricacies of this complex aircraft platform. Thus clients have entrusted Greenpoint with seven VVIP Boeing 787 interior completions to date, including delivery of both the world's first VVIP Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9.

“It is an honour to be awarded these two VVIP Boeing 787-9 interior completions," says CEO Klaus Koester. "This level of trust comes from our VVIP completion expertise, delivery performance and long-standing client relationships. Our clients understand the complexity of these programmes, and we value their confidence in our team to deliver aircraft on time with unmatched quality.”

Greenpoint partnered directly with the client to create interior designs tailored to their lifestyle and aircraft mission requirements. Full scale development started in January, with Greenpoint managing all aspects of the project including interior design, engineering, manufacturing, certification and installation. Each interior will include private first-class suites and distinct VVIP areas featuring elevated ceilings, customised IFE and communication technologies, as well as low cabin acoustic levels. Integration of the bespoke Boeing 787-9 interiors will take place at Greenpoint's installation facility in Moses Lake, Washington. The first aircraft is scheduled for induction next year.
