Air New England chases jet for AOC
A shift in customer requests has led to the resurrection of a sister brokerage by prop and turboprop operator Air New England. This will allow it to source lift for clients while sourcing a jet for its own certificate.
The Air New England team is now keen to increase its involvement in coast-to-coast and global jet charter.

After four years of serving the New England eastern seaboard and Canadian markets, Air New England (ANE) is poised for growth.

"Our fleet of two Beech Baron 58s and a King Air 90 are ideally suited for northeast and the mid-Atlantic regions, but our loyal customers have repeatedly expressed their desire for travel options that can transport them to warmer climates, or to business meetings beyond our typical scope," says president Lisa Campbell. "Customers now seem more at ease reserving flights several months out. In 2021 they were clearly hesitant to reserve anything other than ultra-short term, say 24-72 hours ahead, most likely due to the uncertainty of COVID and its impact on destination support such as hotels, restaurants and venues."

To that end, in December 2021, the company resurrected its sister company Symphony Private Jets, a brokerage company allowing ANE to source appropriate lift from trusted jet partners. "We now offer coast to coast and global flight options for our customers," adds Campbell.

ANE is currently sourcing jet aircraft for its own certificate, capable of flying from the northeast to Florida nonstop; currently the most popular charter demand it receives.

"Much like our prop aircraft, the new aircraft will most likely be based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire or somewhere close by, and ideally will be on the certificate by Q4 this year," Campbell continues. "The goal is to continue to offer services suited for business and vacation travellers alike while increasing the breadth and depth of our reach."
