NHV Group, the Belgium-headquartered B-to-B helicopter services provider, has promoted Thomas Hütsch, the current group COO, to the position of CEO. Outgoing CEO Steffen Bay has resigned to move to a new position outside of the helicopter industry.

“To become the CEO of NHV Group is a great honour, and I look forward to leading the group into a new era of growth with great enthusiasm,” says Hütsch, “The quality of our teams, our modern fleet of helicopters as well as the international reach of the group puts us in the ideal position to grow our reputation as a highly safe, reliable and flexible helicopter operator of choice.”

Thomas Hütsch joined NHV in July 2019 as COO, coming to NHV with more than 30 years of leadership experience in several fields of the helicopter industry, including Airbus Helicopters and at ADAC, the large German automobile club where he managed the HEMS operations with more than 50 helicopters providing emergency medical services.

Laurent Verhelst will further strengthen the management team, who in the role of chief financial officer joined NHV in summer 2021. We made fantastic strategic and operational progress under his leadership, and we wish him future success in his new organisation.

“NHV has built a talented and highly capable leadership team, and we are very fortunate to be able to ensure business continuity with the promotion of Thomas to CEO with the board's full confidence.”
