The Air Charter Association has announced the winners of its Air Charter Excellence Awards 2021, with Farnborough Airport scooping the FBO of the Year Award.

Kevin Ducksbury, chairman of The ACA says: “Our guests were thrilled to be able to get together in person again and enjoy our Excellence Awards event after a two-year break.”

The winners of the 2021 Air Charter Excellence Awards are Executive Passenger Charter Operator of The Year: Air Hamburg; Commercial Passenger Charter Operator of The Year: 2Excel Aviation; Cargo Charter Operator of The Year: RVL Aviation; Handling Agent/FBO of The Year: Farnborough Airport; Aircraft Manufacturer of The Year: Gulfstream Aerospace; The ACA NextGen Young Person of The Year: Tomas Nicolau, LunaJets; Sir Michael Marshall Award for Sustainability in Aviation: Faradair Aerospace; and The ACA Chairman's Award: Phill O'Dell, chief test pilot at Rolls Royce and founder of fly2help.

“Huge congratulations go to all our winners. The past 18 months have been incredibly difficult for our industry of course, and we look forward to a brighter 2022 and growth in our industry,” Ducksbury comments. “Coming together for the event in Brighton reminded us how much of a community the air charter industry is and how we can all support each other through recognition and by highlighting the hard work involved.”

The ACA's international members nominated companies and individuals for consideration for an award and a combination of member voting and board decisions selected the winners from a list of finalists in each category.
