Visitors to NBAA-BACE offered a fly greener option
Since 2015, World Fuel has delivered more than 22 million gallons of World Energy’s SAF to business and commercial aviation customers. The NBAA-BACE show in Las Vegas provides an ideal promotional opportunity.
World Fuel has been a great partner to World Energy over many years in introducing SAF to the world.

World Energy and World Fuel Services are providing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to two Las Vegas FBOs: Henderson Executive Airport and Atlantic Aviation at McCarran International airport, during this year's NBAA-BACE event.

World Fuel is supplying the SAF from World Energy, the world’s first and America’s only commercial-scale SAF producer. SAF is a ‘drop-in’ fuel equivalent that reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80 per cent over the fuel’s life cycle compared to fossil fuels. Since 2015, World Fuel has delivered more than 22 million gallons of World Energy’s SAF to business and commercial aviation customers. World Energy and World Fuel Services will also expand their efforts to increase SAF availability and supply chain efficiency by offering Book and Claim to all customers flying during NBAA-BACE and beyond. Book and Claim allows customers, no matter where they are in the world, to derive the same environmental benefits of SAF without consuming the physical product. For Book and Claim, customers will need to contact their World Fuel sales representative for more information.

World Energy CEO Gene Gebolys states: “World Fuel has been a great partner to us over many years in introducing SAF to the world. Our companies share much more than a first name. Together, we are collaborating to find ever smarter, better and more efficient ways to empower our corporate clients to lead. Today’s announcement marks just the latest step in the long journey toward affordable carbon-free flight at scale.”

Steve Drzymalla, senior vice president for business aviation bulk fuel, World Fuel Services, adds: “During NBAA-BACE, we are enabling operators to lower their emissions using SAF or Book and Claim. This action reflects our ongoing commitment to helping customers understand their options around sustainability, develop multi-year plans and then execute on them.”

No two approaches are the same on the path to net-zero. World Fuel is in a unique position because of its in-house expertise provided by World Kinect Energy Services, its sustainability division. It helps develop and fulfil comprehensive sustainability solutions all under one roof. It offers solutions supporting four key activities: develop a carbon reduction plan; reduce energy use; source renewable energy, such as SAF and Book and Claim; and offset carbon emissions – a bridge to net-zero.
