Couple turn redundancy and furlough into opportunity
Kirsty Golder was made redundant from her role with a commercial radio group last year. Together with her private pilot husband Adam, she has turned a passion for flying into a luxury business as the skies reopen.
Kirsty and Adam Golder have high hopes for G6.

A former executive PA and her pilot husband have launched G6 Aviation, a charter broking service based in Birmingham in the UK in time for travel this summer.

Kirsty Golder was made redundant from her role with a commercial radio group last year. However, together with her private pilot husband Adam, who was also furloughed from his commercial role at the start of the pandemic, she has turned a passion for flying into a luxury business as the skies start to reopen.

“It was a shock to be made redundant,” she says. “However I knew that both Adam and I had skills that could be used to our advantage. We quickly realised that his knowledge of the aviation industry and my business expertise provided us with the ability to pivot into a new market. It’s been an amazing journey. Working with your husband is a learning experience, but we have already had our first bookings, and it’s worth it to see satisfied clients boarding their private jet with G6 Aviation.”

G6 Aviation promises a personalised client experience door-to-door and the highest level of service while guaranteeing that it will beat any like-for-like quotation.

Golder adds: “We know that the demand for travelling in a private aircraft will increase over the next 12 months as people seek a luxurious, stress-free escape from lockdown, without queuing for hours to re-enter the UK. There is no better time to plan a private charter trip.”
