Gazpromavia swells fleet with three Mi-8MTV-1s
The multipurpose Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters have high flight performance and can be used around the clock in the most difficult climatic conditions. Gazpromavia will be able to transport up to 20 personnel using these aircraft.
Cable suspension enables the aircraft to carry up to four tonnes of bulky cargo.

Gazpromavia has taken delivery of three Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters manufactured by the Kazan Helicopter Plant. The aircraft will be leased from Natspromleasing-Invest.

The rotorcraft have been equipped with an onboard boom with a winch. In addition, the aircraft are equipped with an external cable suspension for the transportation of bulky cargo weighing up to four tonnes. There are 20 passenger seats in the helicopter cabins.

“The multipurpose Mi-8MTV-1, delivered under the contract with Natspromleasing-Invest, can perform various types of aviation work,” says Kazan Helicopter Plant MD Alexei Belykh. “The reliability and unpretentiousness of the Mi-8/17 series helicopters have been confirmed by more than half a century of experience in operating these machines around the world.”

There are 45 Mi-8 series helicopters in Gazpromavia's aircraft fleet, including the Mi-8T and Mi-8MTV-1 for SAR operations and in the passenger version manufactured by Kazan Helicopters.

The multipurpose Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters have high flight performance and can be used around the clock in the most difficult climatic conditions. The machines are capable of carrying a wide range of specialised equipment, including onboard medical modules, which ensures the fulfilment of tasks depending on the current needs of the operator.
