Pacific Coast measures up to Wingman standard
Since Pacific Coast Jet's inception in 2006, the company has put safety and service at the forefront and has operated over 50,000 incident-free flight hours. It has been rewarded with Wyvern Wingman status.

Oakland, California-based PCJ Aviation, trading as Pacific Coast Jet, has secured its designation as a Wyvern Wingman Certified Operator following a successful audit conducted by Wyvern in November 2020. The Wyvern Wingman Standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides a safety benchmark that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best operating practices before purchasing air charter services.

Pacific Coast Jet has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to safety by successfully completing its Wyvern Wingman audit and certification, one of the highest possible achievements. “This highlights Pacific Coast Jet's focus on safety in everything that we do and is a well-deserved affirmation of our entire team's adoption and promotion of a robust safety culture,” says president Jesse Ahearn.

Wyvern Wingman Operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an evaluation of operational activities, review on the company operational history and safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programme, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

Wyvern is very happy to declare that Pacific Coast Jet is a Wingman Operator. Adhering to the Wingman Standard is evidence that the organisation has a culture of excellence that is far above their peers,” says Sonnie Bates, Wyvern CEO.

Since Pacific Coast Jet's inception in 2006, the company has put safety and service at the forefront and has operated over 50,000 incident-free flight hours. “One of the things that I value most about the Wingman process is Wyvern's expert third-party perspective and evaluation of every facet of our operation,” Ahearn continues. “It's not an easy process, but it ultimately verifies, though an independent auditor, that we are striving to be the safest operation possible and adhering to the highest standards in the industry. This truly puts us in the company of a relatively small list of elite operators in private aviation, and we are honoured to be added to that list of great organisations.”

Pacific Coast Jet is an aircraft management company with an FAA Part 135 certificate. The company manages and charters over 20 aircraft ranging from turboprops to heavy jets. Pacific Coast Jet provides turnkey management, charter and aircraft acquisition services.
