ACSF offers members a web-based SMS solution
The ACSF SMS Tool will allow flight departments to document aviation safety data, perform risk assessments, assign corrective actions and export ASAP reports to the FAA. It has been made available to 190 members.

The Air Charter Safety Foundation is offering its members a new a web-based safety management system solution called the ACSF SMS Tool. This complimentary member benefit is available for the 190 members who currently participate in the ASCF Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).

“Our new ACSF SMS Tool is a modern, simple, safe and secure tool to help aviation organisations easily manage their safety needs,” says Robert Rufli, chairman of the board of governors for the ACSF. “And we're pleased to offer our new and existing ASAP participants a simple, low-cost solution to manage their ASAP data and submit reports.”

The ACSF SMS Tool will allow flight departments to document aviation safety data, perform risk assessments, assign corrective actions and export ASAP reports to the FAA. Additionally, the framework is structured to work with other departments and aviation organisations, such as FBO or MROs.

“An SMS programme is fundamental to aviation safety, and we will soon be required for all charter flight departments, large or small,” explains ACSF president Bryan Burns. “That's why we're excited to offer an alternative, especially for those smaller operators who've yet to adopt SMS. Plus, we find it very helpful, as a third-party manager of the ASAP programme, to have the seamless, one-stop-shop solution in-house.”
