Crew brings in Weidekamp to lead on strategy
Crew newcomer Shannon Weidekamp is a member of the board of directors of Women in Aviation International and the chair of the National Business Aviation Association flight attendant/flight technicians committee.
Weidekamp will offer safety and service insights.

Crew Aviation, a Part 135 air carrier based in Louisville, Kentucky, has promoted Shannon Weidekamp to chief strategy and innovation officer. Weidekamp will have the primary responsibilities of developing new markets and increasing business by acquiring new clients and establishing productive and profitable relationships with external firms and organisations. She will provide strategic direction to the company and help lead business development activities, goals and objectives that align with the vision, mission and values of Crew.

“Shannon has played an active role in our current success, and we were excited to promote her to this important new leadership position,” says Clyde Ensor, founder and CEO of Crew Aviation.

Weidekamp joined the company six years ago as director of marketing and client services. Previously, she served as director of cabin safety and manager/lead flight attendant for a private, Part 91 corporate flight department. From her previous experience, she understands the needs of clients and owners, and has established relationships with aircraft manufacturers, vendors and suppliers on a global level.

She says: “I am excited for the opportunities this new position offers. I believe I have a unique and insightful view on the needs of our clients from a safety and service perspective as well as the attention to detail they desire from the business side of the organisation and how Crew Aviation can help them reach their business and personal success goals.”
