BHS departs DC collaboration with its own AOC
With a German AOC and CAMO, BHS Aviation Group is able to offer flights and flight planning in Germany, along with maintenance, insurance and rotary charter. The move brings a collaboration with DC Stuttgart to an end.
Together the companies in the BHS Aviation Group have over 40 years of experience in exclusive passenger and business helicopter flights.

BHS Aviation in Bamberg has received its own German AOC for helicopter operations. In addition, it has been certified as a CAMO for helicopters and will further expand its helicopter management business on this basis.

“The AOC is an important milestone for our German company and is proof of the know-how and experience we have developed over the years,” says CEO Maximilian Stoschek.

The company was established as Brose Helicopterservice in 2008 to serve the business aviation needs of international automotive supplier Brose. It entered into commercial aviation in 2016 through a partnership with DC Aviation Stuttgart, a major business jet operator in Europe. In May 2019 BHS acquired DC Aviation Switzerland, the helicopter division of its partner with its own AOC for Switzerland. This strategic step helped the newly-named BHS Aviation Group expand its portfolio to include aircraft management.

With the German AOC, the company is now able to also offer these services in Germany. They include flight planning and organisation, providing experienced professional pilots and crew members along with maintenance, insurance and optional helicopter chartering services. Moreover, as a full-service provider, BHS Aviation offers sub charter services to clients who wish to rent business jets.

Receiving the German AOC brings the previous collaboration with DC Aviation Stuttgart to an end. “We are proud that we can now independently offer our clients the full range of services they are accustomed to,” adds Stoschek. “Nevertheless, we will remain connected to our partner and continue to offer combined travel with helicopters and jets through a sales partnership.”
