Standard Aviation sets the standard in the Caribbean
Standard's facility includes a 24,000 sq ft hangar, a lobby and crew amenities. This location can handle nearly any aircraft with around-the-clock call out service, customs clearance available 24/7 and a sizeable hangar.
Governor Albert Bryan Jr. attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Standard Aviation has completed the construction of its facility in St. Thomas at Cyril E. King airport, marking the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. As a member of the Air Elite by World Fuel Network, this new location provides an option for those travelling to the US and British Virgin Islands.

Standard is accessible to more than a dozen islands within a 50-mile radius, is minutes from Yacht Haven Grande and a half-hour away from American Yacht Harbor. This location was invited to join the Air Elite network for its facilities and customer service.

Standard's new facility includes a 24,000 sq ft hangar, a lobby and crew amenities. This location can handle nearly any aircraft with around-the-clock call out service, customs clearance available 24/7 and a sizeable hangar that is the largest free-span building in the Caribbean. Designed with pilots in mind, the Standard Aviation facility is complete with a crew rest area, well-appointed flight planning room and extra amenities like a full kitchen, laundry machines and dishwashers.

Shaun Miller, managing member, Standard Aviation, states: “Our Standard Aviation team is proud to officially open a world-class aviation facility for the Virgin Islands at a pivotal time for tourism. A four year build has fortified a structure like nothing else in the region, including 24,000 sq ft of enclosed hangar space and a luxurious lobby bespoke to jet clientele. We are honoured to join the ranks of the Air Elite Network, a brand that assures discerning aircraft owners and crew that they are in good hands anywhere they travel in the world. Our St. Thomas team members are eager to provide a high level of customer service, which clients rely on when working with Air Elite fixed base operators.”

Steve Drzymalla, senior VP for business aviation bulk fuel, World Fuel Services, adds: “St. Thomas is a key destination within the Air Elite Network, and Standard Aviation exemplifies the Air Elite difference from its highly trained leadership to its front line service team. You will experience the difference from the moment of your arrival to the last farewell of your departure at Standard Aviation's world-class facility.”

As a member of the Air Elite network, Standard now has a bank of World Fuel Rewards points to award customers for fuel, services and loyalty. Pilots and flight departments can utilise World Fuel Contract and AVCARD by World Fuel and earn World Fuel Rewards on transactions at this location.

“Tourism is vital to the Virgin Islands economy, and our premier new facility is an important piece of that picture for the future,” states Sabina Rosario, general manager of Standard “As Caribbean tourism steadily rebounds from the effects of COVID-19 and the previously relied upon cruise industry, visitors will exclusively select destinations where they can rely on exceptional facilities and five-star experiences. Our customer service team members undergo training and demonstrate the regional knowledge to provide the concierge services that will make any client's trip perfect.”
