Magellan continues to show customers it cares
In response to the tax holiday brought on by the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Magellan Jets is assisting travellers and organisations with securing their business travel plans.
Magellan CEO Joshua Hebert says that now is the time to invest in private aviation, while interest rates are low.

Private aviation consultants at Magellan Jets are providing expertise on tax holiday benefits for individuals and organisations in order to better understand the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) and its impact on private jet travel.

The company says that the CARES Act incentivises organisations to utilise the safety of private aviation by suspending certain excise taxes on private jet travel booked through to 31 December. The tax exemption also extends to any jet card or membership purchases made before the end of the year, even if they aren't used to fly until 2021 or beyond.

In response to the tax holiday, Magellan Jets is assisting travellers and organisations with securing their business continuity plans and making long-term tax savings strategies. The company's CARES Act experts can walk clients through the benefits and how they apply to each of its purely private services. “We're so grateful that the government is giving us travel benefits because they want people to start flying again for business,” says CEO Joshua Hebert. “With interest rates so low, now is a good opportunity to invest in your future and your business by travelling again and saving 7.5 per cent on your private aviation needs.”

Since more than 900 million passengers travelled for business in 2019, the CARES Act tax holiday is another resource that the government is providing to encourage America to safely get back to travelling for business. As COVID-19 continues to further strain commercial airlines, forcing cuts to available routes and non-stop flights, as well as hindering in-cabin safety, travel has become another obstacle for many companies today. That's why so many are turning to private aviation as a safe, secure and healthy alternative.

Magellan has continued to pivot its strategy throughout the pandemic by helping new and existing customers get back in the air. In May, it launched new pay-as-you-go membership programmes, providing consistency and flexibility with just a minimal initial investment, that guarantee access to four aircraft categories, 12-month locked-in hourly rates and the ability to fly on as little as 12 hours' notice with no blackout dates or peak surcharges. In addition to benefiting members, the CARES Act savings also extend to on-demand charter guests as well as jet card owners.

Should the US government enact any changes to the CARES Act, Magellan Jets will continue to provide guests and organisations with the latest updates, as well as further assistance with optimising their tax holiday strategy.
