Solar-powered school selects Alsim ALX
The Alsim ALX FSTD provides simulation for up to four classes of aircraft, from single and twin piston, twin turbine up to medium category twin jets (generic B737/A320). EPC considers it a top choice.

EuroPilot Center (EPC), now part of the International Pilot Center Alliance (ICPA), has chosen to install an Alsim ALX simulator at its soon-to-be upgraded, solar-powered premises in Antwerp, Belgium. The device will be used during phase six of the future Integrated Airline Career programme, covering the EASA APS/MCC. During two to three weeks of intense training, students will be immersed in a true airline environment. This will ensure EPC graduates obtain the necessary technical and non-technical skills to transition smoothly into any future type rating.

The Alsim ALX FSTD provides simulation for up to four classes of aircraft, from single engine piston, twin engine piston, twin turbine up to medium category twin jets (generic B737/A320). The device is designed and approved for ATPL, CPL, APS/MCC in compliance with all current regulatory standards. The ALX offers advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to all specific training requirements. In addition, it has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours.

Kay Vereeken, CEO at EPC and board member of IPCA, says the device is a perfect match: “After in-depth consideration of all different training devices currently on the market, we opted for the high-quality, versatile and proven hybrid (B737/A320) APS/MCC ALX simulator, including the latest features such as EFBs, PBN, smoke/oxygen systems and highly accurate flight characteristics. The new visual system by Alsim is truly spectacular and adds tremendous value to the overall experience during the UPRT training as well.”

Alsim sales director Audrey Jeffroy adds: “It has been a pleasure working again with EuroPilot Center/IPCA on this project. We wish it the best for the years to come.”
