GetJet charts lock-downs with COVID-19 Map
Industry professionals, brokers and passengers can all make use of GetJet's COVID-19 Map, created by a task force keen to simplify the transmission of information in a time where there are many unanswered questions.

Following the COVID-19 lockdown directives issued by countries around the world, GetJet co-founder Alexander Koninsky recognised the difficulties faced in gathering reliable information about who could travel internationally under these restrictions. Having seen the lack of information and how time consuming it was to find it, he created a task force team within GetJet to create the COVID-19 Map, which was released on the 28 April.

“The map is updated regularly as and when new information is received by each country,” he says. “With the daily changes this is very important, especially now with the easing of the lockdown restrictions in several countries.”

Professionals within the industry will appreciate having such a tool as it has many advantages, including the reduction of workload for operators, who would normally have many queries from either direct customers or the global broker community. Brokers can appreciate this too, as they have one centralised source of information and need not wait for replies from operators to their queries. Finally, passengers will get the information that they need quicker and booking decisions will be easier and quicker to make.

The map and its content are available to all and Koninsky hopes that GetJet's contribution to kick starting travel again shows the industry has not remained idle but continues to thrive on development and improvement.

GetJet.com was established in 2017 as a marketplace for the use of business aviation operators and brokers, optimising sales of operators' empty legs through direct API feeds from scheduling software into the company's IT solution search engine.
