Omni Executive has added two new members to its group of companies with the acquisition of MI Helicopters and ProRotor Australia.

Roma-based MI Helicopters has been supporting the Queensland energy and emergency services sectors for nearly 30 years while Caloundra-based ProRotor provides specialist maintenance and custom paint services for rotary wing aircraft.

Omni CEO Jon Hawkins says: “This purchase enables Omni to round out its aerospace services to now include both rotary and fixed wing as well as east and west coast capabilities. As a family grown business with a strong emphasis on high quality people, service and strong community engagement, MI Helicopters is an excellent cultural fit and it has been a smooth transition and integration into the Omni family of companies.”

MI Helicopters founders Kevin and Sandy Clark add: “We have been building and growing our business for nearly 30 years now and we feel that Omni Executive shares our vision of continuing the growth of MI and ProRotor while maintaining their values. We see this as the best way forward for both these companies, including expanding into new services and sectors.”

Both companies will maintain their current staff, services and locations, and Kevin Clark will continue as the chief pilot for MI Helicopters.
