After three years as chair of AsBAA's Philippine station, Jay Lopez is to step down. He will hand over to Fernando Gaspar during 2020.
AsBAA Philippines Chapter chairman Benjamin Lopez will hand over to Fernando Gaspar in 2020.

INAEC Aviation Corporation president Benjamin 'Jay' Lopez is to step down as chairman of the AsBAA Philippine Chapter in 2020.

During his three year tenure, Lopez successfully delivered a programme of advocacy, representation and community-led events including the AsBAA Philippine Safety Day, AsBAA Philippine Pilot’s Day, the launch of AsBAA Discovery in the Philippines and a thriving programme of well-attended chapter meetings.

AsBAA chairman Zhendong Wu says: “Under Jay Lopez’ leadership, the Philippine Chapter has successfully engaged the authorities and provided value to our members. We are deeply grateful for the volunteer time and resources that Jay has donated to AsBAA. His contribution has consistently been above and beyond and we express our sincere gratitude. Looking forward, we welcome 'Nando' to the Philippine Chapter chair; we have every confidence in the continued success of the Chapter.”

Lopez will retain an active role in the Philippine Chapter as a member of the board of governors. He will hand over leadership of the chapter to Fernando Gaspar, president and CEO of Falconer Aircraft Management Inc, Aviation Concepts Technical Services Inc and Roxas and Company Inc.
