Asian pioneer Metrojet renews Stage III through 2022
IS-BAO contains three stages of certification, where Stage III is currently the highest registration certificate issued by IBAC. Metrojet was first certified with Stage III in 2016 and has earned another three-year extension.

Hong Kong-based Metrojet, part of the Kadoorie Group, has successfully renewed its IS-BAO Stage III certification until 2022. CEO Gary Dolski says: “We have developed our own SMS and became the first business aviation organisation to gain SMS certification in Asia in 2009. With a strong safety and quality team, we are proud to have progressed our safety culture and continuously improved our SMS over the years.”

Head of safety and quality Kent Wong adds: “We achieved our first-time IS-BAO Stage III certification in 2016. Since then, we have fully revamped our SMS manual, overhauled our emergency response to be efficient in dealing with various crisis situations, enhanced our flight data monitoring and launched a new comprehensive fatigue risk management system with industry leading software. We are very grateful that our efforts to attain the world-class safety standards are recognised.”

IS-BAO contains three stages of certification, where Stage III is currently the highest registration certificate issued by IBAC. The successful completion of an audit verifies that safety management activities are fully integrated into the operator's business and that a positive safety culture is integrated and supported in its daily operations.
