AOne parts out retired Learjet 45
AOne has got itself its first part-out. The LJ45 airframe should attract a lot of aftermarket interest as there are over 500 units operating worldwide.

North Carolina-based AOne Parts & Logistics has purchased a Learjet 45 airframe for the purpose of dismantling and removing all components and material to be used for resale. It is a non-incident related airframe that went in for a scheduled maintenance event that was not completed, so the decision was made that this Learjet 45 would not fly again and that the engines and airframe could be repositioned and re-utilised more effectively as a non-flyer.

“We are very excited about this project,” states president Jack Caloras. “Our company began operating earlier this year, and this is the first part-out for AOne.” The company is focusing on selling all parts and materials from this project very quickly in a non-traditional manner, unlike common salvage yard operations or aftermarket parts companies. “We view this as an opportunity for AOne, as well as anyone we work with interested in owning any Lear 45 articles,” Caloras continues.

Vice president Kirk Meissner will be leading the project and coordinating sales efforts for all articles. “Our goal is to process the dismantling in an efficient manner so that parts will be available as soon as possible,” he adds.
