The UK's Cambridge City airport has opened its new in-house FBO, Jet Centre. This follows the transfer of FBO operations at the airport from Execujet in September.

Investment has included redesigning and rebranding the existing centre on Newmarket Road. The new facilities with their pink and blue colour scheme support the airport's plans to grow its executive charter business. Passengers will transition from the welcome desk through to the executive VIP lounge, where they will find modern comfort facilities, complementary refreshments and a private business centre as well as pilot and crew lounge. The FBO also incorporates conference facilities for up to 14 delegates, including projector and telecoms, as well as uninterrupted views across the airfield and the Cambridgeshire countryside.

“The services we offer have been implemented specifically with our passengers front and centre of our strategy, to provide up-to-the-minute comfort, safety and relaxation and allow them to maximise their valuable time,” says airport director Kevan Craske. “Cambridge City airport is an important facility that local businesses rely on. They deserve the best facilities available, so we've worked hard to provide them.”

FBO facilities also include aircraft, passenger and baggage handling, refueling, security and customs and immigration services.
