Magnum expands in Slovakia and Austria
Magnum FBO's introduction of ground support in Bratislava coincides with the creation of a new Slovak division, Magnum FBO Slovakia. It has also added a Zeltweg base, close the Austrian Grand Prix site.

Viennese executive ground handler Magnum FBO has announced the growth of its private aircraft handling operations to include two new airports, expanding to Bratislava, Slovakia and Zeltweg, Austria. The new locations join Magnum's six existing handling operations across Austria, bringing the network to a total of eight airports.

The company’s introduction of aircraft ground support at the M. R. Štefánik airport in Bratislava coincides with the creation of a new Slovak registered division, Magnum FBO Slovakia, marking the organisation's first foray into ground handling outside of Austria. In preparation for the commencement of aircraft services, Magnum has invested in the lease and redevelopment of a handling office and crew lounge within the airport’s terminal, backed by a team of four staff members capable of coordinating slot and landing permits, as well as arranging catering, hotel and transportation requests.

Magnum has further expanded with the addition of Zeltweg airport to its portfolio of ground handling locations within Austria. Zeltweg’s proximity to the Red Bull Ring, host circuit of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, provides convenient access for visiting race teams and spectators. Magnum fields on-site staff to escort passengers and crew through the military portion of the airfield, as well as providing centrally coordinated services including landing permits, rental cars and hotel reservations through its 24-hour operations centre in Vienna.

“We are thrilled to build on the success of our existing six locations with the addition of Bratislava and Zeltweg,” states Magnum MD Florian Samsinger. “The extension of our proven aviation coordination capabilities to new venues comes at the request of our customers, who recognise our virtue as a dependable, consistent aircraft handler throughout Austria.”

The new Magnum FBO in Bratislava is set to open for business in November.
