Aéropyrénées places trust in Alsim for third time
Aéropyrénées has been training pilots for the past 50 years, and has returned to long term supplier Alsim to purchase its third Alsim simulator in two years.

Perpignan, France-based Aeropyrenees is to purchase its third Alsim simulator in two years; it has already been operating an Alsim ALX and AL250.

Alsim developed the EASA and FAA certified AL250 simulator in 2016 in response to strong market demand. This compact FNPT II addresses initial phase training needs (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and is SEP/MEP re-configurable. In addition, it offers both classic and glass cockpit instrumentation for each flight model at the simple flick of a switch. This device is really a great success for Alsim: more than 40 simulators of this kind have been installed worldwide.

CEO Ghislaine Barrere explains why the school has chosen Alsim once again: “As a leader in professional pilot training in France, it is natural that we should renew our confidence in Alsim, a French flight simulator manufacturer and expert on the market for ATOs, which has been constantly evolving in the design and use of FNPTIIs for 25 years.”

Alsim sales director Audrey Jeffroy adds: “It is a pleasure to participate in the development of this school with which we have established a relationship of trust.”

Aeropyrenees invested in an ALX (multi engine piston, light turboprop, medium turboprop and medium jet) and an AL250 in 2018, having been operating an AL200 MCC since 2006. The ALX replaced the AL200 MCC while the AL250 went to Toussus-le-Noble, near Paris. At the time communication and marketing manager Benjamin Vanlierde said: “We were very satisfied with the quality of the simulator we had been using, and with the maintenance service offered by Alsim. After comparing several manufacturers we naturally came back to Alsim to expand our simulator fleet, but also to maintain a certain uniformity of our training tools. Furthermore, the ALX allows us to train MCC/JOC.”
