West Star to reenergise lead batteries in Illinois
Shop director John Hardy is pleased that West Star will be able to serve Hawker and other aircraft operators when their Meggitt Securaplane Technologies Maine Shipp 9750W Pure Lead batteries run low.

West Star Aviation is now authorised to service and repair Meggitt Securaplane Technologies Maine Shipp 9750W Pure Lead batteries at its full-service Alton, IL location. The 9750 battery is available for most Citation models. Additionally, it is authorised to perform reblocking of the XL245 XL246, Xl249, XL2410 and 2411 series emergency battery.

“We are happy to continue to grow our capabilities and include this service to Hawker and other aircraft operators in need of repairs or maintenance to their batteries,” says shop director John Hardy.

West Star Aviation specialises in the repair and maintenance of airframes, engines and APUs, avionics installations and repair, major modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, surplus avionics sales, accessory services and parts.

In addition to its primary facilities in East Alton, Illinois; Grand Junction, Colorado; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Perryville, Missouri, West Star Aviation also maintains satellite facilities at Aspen-Pitkin County airport in Aspen, Colorado; Chicago Executive airport in Chicago, Illinois; Centennial airport in Denver, Colorado; Conroe-North Houston Regional airport in Houston, Texas; Minneapolis/St. Paul International airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Scottsdale airport in Scottsdale, Arizona. The company also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
