DAS/Flite appoints sales, parts and component repair VP
Pilot, aircraft owner and 25 year industry veteran Mike Ward has joined DAS/Flite. As VP he will oversee the sales team at the Dallas-based companies.

Component repair company Dallas Aeronautical Services (DAS)/Flite has appointed Mike Ward as vice president of sales, parts and component repair. Current vice president of sales and marketing Eli DaSilva will assume a director of business development role and report to Ward, along with the sales team.

Ward brings over 25 years of aviation experience to the team. He most recently worked for Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Kansas as senior general manager for its aftermarket MRO operation. He has spent the majority of his career in the VIP interior modifications business for wide body head of state aircraft, and also formerly served as director/general manager for Hawker Beechcraft Services and Textron Aviation Services' MRO service centre in Houston, Texas.

Ward is an instrument-rated private pilot and aircraft owner, and has logged over 3,000 flight hours in the past 20 years.

DAS is an FAA Part 145 repair station that provides support for corporate aircraft operators through the overhaul and repair of composites, structures and assemblies. Specialising in thrust reversers, control surfaces, engine cowls, pylon and floor panels, as well as radome repair and testing, DAS provides support for Bombardier Learjet and Challenger, Gulfstream, Piaggio, Embraer, Boeing, Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna and Beechjet components. In addition, DAS has cultivated a diverse list of active partnerships within the aviation industry, including leading OEMs. Conveniently located just south of Dallas Love Field airport, DAS can support aggressive turn times while maintaining the highest quality and competitive prices.

Both DAS and Flite are West Star Aviation companies.

DAS is a wholly owned subsidiary operating under its unique brand while offering West Star Aviation customers their products and capabilities.

Flite Components is an FAA Repair Station (FBQR568Y) engaged in repair and overhaul services of radomes, thrust reversers, flight controls, and secondary bonded structures of commercial and regional aircraft. Its repair facility is located between Love Field and DFW airports in Dallas, Texas.
