Component repair company Dallas Aeronautical Services (DAS)/Flite has appointed Mike Ward as vice president of sales, parts and component repair. Current vice president of sales and marketing Eli DaSilva will assume a director of business development role and report to Ward, along with the sales team.

Ward brings over 25 years of aviation experience to the team. He most recently worked for Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Kansas as senior general manager for its aftermarket MRO operation. He has spent the majority of his career in the VIP interior modifications business for wide body head of state aircraft, and also formerly served as director/general manager for Hawker Beechcraft Services and Textron Aviation Services' MRO service centre in Houston, Texas.

Ward is an instrument-rated private pilot and aircraft owner, and has logged over 3,000 flight hours in the past 20 years.

DAS is an FAA Part 145 repair station that provides support for corporate aircraft operators through the overhaul and repair of composites, structures and assemblies. Specialising in thrust reversers, control surfaces, engine cowls, pylon and floor panels, as well as radome repair and testing, DAS provides support for Bombardier Learjet and Challenger, Gulfstream, Piaggio, Embraer, Boeing, Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna and Beechjet components.
