PPG invests in Singapore support centre
Investment valued at $15 million will allow a new application support centre in Singapore to manage growing demand for PPG sealant and coating products in the region.

US-based coatings company PPG Aerospace is to invest $15 million in a new 38,750 sq ft application support centre (ASC) at the Seletar Aerospace Park, near Seletar airport in Singapore. The project is the company's largest investment to date in southeast Asia.

Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2020, the ASC will accommodate increased demand for aerospace sealants and coatings, chemical management services and the packaging of third-party products.

“This investment acknowledges the aerospace industry's strong growth in southeast Asia,” says general manager, aerospace products, Asia Pacific Ranju Arya. “Having this state of the art facility in Seletar will help increase collaboration and allow PPG to deliver efficient, value-added services to our customers locally.”

PPG supplies sealants, coatings, aircraft maintenance chemicals, transparencies, transparent armour, chemical management and application systems, serving original equipment manufacturers and maintenance providers for the commercial, military, regional and general aviation industries. Its worldwide network of ASCs are conveniently located to offer global capability from a regional base, bringing customer service and technical resources closer to its customers and ensuring reliable delivery of its products.
