Elit'Avia implements Osprey's risk assessment system
Osprey fuses human and technical capability to provide support to operators in mitigating the threats to their crew, passengers and aircraft. Elit'Avia is to integrate risk assessment into flight planning.
Elit'Avia CEO Michel Coulomb has implemented Osprey Flight Solutions' risk assessment system.

Slovenia-headquartered Elit'Avia, a fully-integrated provider of business aircraft charter, management and operations services, has implemented technology from Osprey Flight Solutions, a UK provider of proprietary data-led risk assessment software systems.

The Osprey system merges latest-generation technologies with expert human analysis to provide instant access to information on the global aviation security environment. Data is gathered from more than 200,000 open sources in 60 different languages and analysed by artificial intelligence and machine learning to identify risk areas along flight paths. System-generated data is reviewed by analysts. All reports and alerts are edited and approved by human experts. Sources include social media platforms, major international and local news media publications, national aviation authorities, law enforcement, government departments, industry organisations, special interest groups with a focus on aviation, think tanks and third party intelligence providers.

“We are very pleased to announce the implementation of Osprey Flight Solutions,” says Elit'Avia CEO Michel Coulomb. “By integrating sophisticated risk assessment into our flight planning, we are providing a safer environment for our passengers and crews. Furthermore, risk assessment optimises flight planning and increases overall operational efficiency. Our investment in risk assessment underscores our commitments to safety, operational excellence and technological innovation.”

Elit’Avia is a fully-integrated provider of business aircraft charter, management and operation services and holds AOCs in Slovenia, Malta and San Marino. Elit’Avia is Stage 3 IS-BAO certified by IBAC. At present, the company manages a mixed fleet of 25 midsize to long range business aircraft for charter and private use. Aircraft types include: Gulfstreams (650 and 450), Bombardier Globals (6000 and XRS), Bombardier Challengers (650, 605 and 604), Dassault Falcons (7X and 50EX) and Hawkers (850 and 800).

The Osprey system is an integration of cutting-edge computing techniques and industry-leading human analysis. The platform delivers instantaneous access to global analysis, intelligence, information and data on the aviation security environment. Osprey can deliver aviation risk management data and analysis, and its 24/7 aviation security analyst team and wider network of subject-matter experts ensure that ad hoc requirements can be met to the highest level. Osprey covers the full spectrum from rapid alerts about impending threats to aviation through live-time reporting on aviation security incidents and events to fully customisable reports that are both accessible instantaneously, and up to date to the minute they are produced.
