Luxwing widens ops radius with economical Praetor

Maltese operator Luxwing has taken delivery of an Embraer Praetor 600. CEO Giuseppe Sapia and commercial director Daniele Guida are very pleased with the purchase: “The Praetor has the best range in its category, it’s a super midsize jet with the operation costs of smaller airplanes and range and cabin space of superior category,” enthuses Sapia.

“Its competitors are more expensive. We operate 14 airplanes from entry level jet category until super mid, and our area of operation is Europe, Africa and Russia. Now that we have the Praetor, we are looking to extend our area of operation.”

Guida has been impressed with the aircraft's new features: “The Praetor is the first airplane which has installed the new Embraer active turbulence reduction feature, which offers the most comfortable flying in all weather conditions.

“With this acquisition Luxwing continues to grow its fleet in collaboration with Embraer. We hope to add more Embraer jets to our AOC and become the principal Embraer airplane operator in Malta.

“This jet is the third of five new aircraft that will arrive with us during this year, and we expect another three during 2020. We have a long term programme that will change completely our fleet, with the introduction of new planes and features, increasing the service on board.”
