Clay Lacy is top for quiet departures
Van Nuys airport's quiet departure program reduces the impact of noise pollution for those who live close by and underneath flight paths. Clay Lacy wins its Friendly Flyer award for the seventh year in a row.

California-headquartered Clay Lacy Aviation has been honoured as a legacy recipient of the Friendly Flyer Award from Los Angeles World Airports. The award recognises jet operators with the highest levels of compliance with the Quiet Departure Program, Van Nuys airport's voluntary noise reduction initiative, over and above mandatory noise regulations. Clay Lacy has earned this distinction every year since the award was instituted in 2012.

“We are delighted to be a legacy winner of this award,” says vice president charter servcies Veriar Collins-Jenkins. “We also salute our fellow winners who share our commitment to reducing noise levels, benefiting Van Nuys and other cities near the airport.”

The 2018 award winners were recognised at a luncheon at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys on 13 June, where Van Nuys airport manager Flora Margheritis said: “I am grateful to Clay Lacy and all this year's winners for their continuing efforts to make Van Nuys airport a great neighbour in the San Fernando Valley.”
