Embraer expert RUAG carries out Legacy ADS-B
RUAG has been an Embraer authorised service centre for over 16 years, so when a Legacy 650 customer approached the facility for a 96-month inspection including ADS-B compliance, the team were happy to help.
The Legacy 650 is now ready to fly in time for the ADS-B Out deadline set by EASA next June.

RUAG MRO International has completed a 96-month inspection on an Embraer Legacy 650. The customer chose to optimise the heavy maintenance inspection's downtime to ensure ADS-B Out compliance and resolve service bulletins. RUAG's Embraer ASC at Munich-Oberpfaffenhofen provided one-stop shop support and project management. The project was completed on schedule and to satisfaction.

RUAG's one-stop shop approach to aircraft support enables aircraft owners to optimise downtimes, in order to save time and costs. This 96-month inspection downtime on the Embraer Legacy 650 allowed the owners to equip the aircraft with the necessary ADS-B Out upgrade for compliance with EASA mandates that take effect on 7 June 2020.

“Our Embraer team is keen to ensure reliable aircraft performance, so advising our Legacy and Lineage customers to ensure compliance with the 2020 mandate now is part of how we support their continued profitable operations,” states head of sales Christian Karl.

RUAG has been an Embraer ASC for over 16 years. Senior VP Volker Wallrodt states: “Our performance as a service provider for Embraer business aircraft, like this Legacy 650, is confirmed at our Munich and Geneva sites on a daily basis. Streamlined downtimes, overall savings and reliable consulting are what our customers have come to expect.”
