Board elections are imminent for AsBAA
The chair of Asia's non-profit representative body for the business and general aviation industry, AsBAA, is to stand down at its June AGM. Jenny Lau has urged volunteers to step forward to the board.
Jenny Lau is to step down as chair of AsBAA at its June AGM.

In an open letter to members, Jenny Lau thanked the BA/GA community in Asia for its support during her 2017-19 tenure and encouraged them to consider running for volunteer leadership positions. “After a challenging and highly rewarding two years, the time has come to pass the baton to the next leaders of the association. I now call upon each member to consider running for these important positions at the AsBAA AGM in Singapore. On behalf of the association, I urge the community to consider its part in the industry's development in Asia and step forward to assist with taking steps forward.”

AsBAA is a volunteer led association. Every other year at the AGM, its members elect the new board of directors (BoD) and a chairperson is then appointed from among the group. The board of governors supports the BoD with the daily running of the association across government relations, corporate social responsibility, finance, marketing, public relations, events and other business functions.

Preparations for AsBAA's Singapore Business Aviation Week event in June includes the third annual AsBAA Singapore Safety Day on 10 June, the AGM and elections on 11 June, and AsBAA's inaugural static display and community event, AsBAA Takes Off, on 14 June.
