West Star locations gain no-PNL privileges
West Star Aviation can now complete projects at its four main locations without submitting a programme notification letter to the FAA. The company can approve its own repair data for specified cockpit technologies.

US MRO West Star has been granted No-Program Notification Letter project status on FMS, CVR, FANS, Iridium DLU and Conquest RVSM.

Under its Organisation Designation Authorisation (ODA), this authorisation allows projects at all four main locations to be completed without submitting a programme notification letter (PNL). This authorisation allows West Star to issue, amend or reissue STCs without submittal of a PNL on the above certification projects.

“This is a very beneficial addition to our ODA delegation,” says ODA lead administrator Jeff Maszkiewicz.

West Star Aviation specialises in the repair and maintenance of airframes, engines and APUs, avionics installations and repair, major modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, surplus avionics sales, accessory services and parts.

In addition to its primary facilities in East Alton, Illinois; Grand Junction, Colorado; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Perryville, Missouri, the company also maintains satellite facilities at Aspen-Pitkin County airport in Colorado; Chicago Executive airport in Illinois; Centennial airport in Denver, Colorado; Conroe-North Houston Regional airport in Texas; Minneapolis/St Paul International airport in Minnesota and Scottsdale airport in Arizona. It also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
