Weston succeeds Mumford as BACA chairman
Nick Weston has been a member of BACA - The Air Charter Association for a quarter of a century, and takes over from outgoing chairman Richard Mumford as the group celebrates its 70th birthday.
Incoming chairman Nick Weston shakes hands with outgoing chairman Richard Mumford.

Nick Weston, CEO of Weston Aviation, has been appointed as chairman of BACA - The Air Charter Association. Weston succeeds Richard Mumford, who has held the role since 2016.

Says Weston: ”I am delighted and honoured to be elected as the next chairman of the association. After being a member for nearly 25 years and having served both as council member and deputy chairman, I feel the time is right for me to take up the role of chair. Under Richard's chairmanship the association has seen significant growth in membership numbers, its global reach has increased dramatically and the support and guidance we are able to offer our members has been significantly enhanced.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Richard, on behalf of the council and all our members, for his incredible hard work and commitment. It is thanks to his dedication that the association is where it is today, and with the continued support of the council and our members I am very much looking forward to taking BACA to the next level.”

Mumford adds: “I am proud to have served the association as chairman for the past three years. During that period we have driven an ambitious programme of development that has helped transform and modernise the association tremendously. I am grateful to the council and all our members for the incredible support I've received throughout my tenure. As the association celebrates its 70th birthday, I can think of no better person to take up leadership of the next phase in BACA's life than Nick Weston. I am delighted to see him succeed me in the role."

The formal handover will take place on 3 April at BACA's spring lunch.
