Air Charter Expo Regional - Europe was confirmed by show organisers The Air Charter Association and Business Air News at Air Charter Expo (ACE26) at London Biggin Hill Airport on 8 September. The event will run alongside AERO Friedrichshafen in Germany from 14 to 16 April 2027.

The news came as the UK show closed with a record 2,100 visitors from 62 nations and a fully booked aircraft static, giving organisers a strong platform from which to launch the new regional format.

Glenn Hogben, chief executive of The Air Charter Association, says: “We are delighted to be debuting our first Air Charter Expo Regional - Europe at AERO 2027 in Germany with a dedicated two and a half days of networking and educational workshops for the air charter community. This is a great opportunity for our growing, global membership.”

Tobias Bretzel, show director of AERO at Fairnamic GmbH, adds: “Bringing together two established and growing event brands during April 14 to 16, 2027, builds on a terrific first collaboration this Spring at AERO 2026.”

Visitors to the regional event will have their own entrance and dedicated space in Hall A1 and The Dome, with a conference stage mirroring that offered at ACE. Bretzel put AERO 2027’s static display at between 50 and 70 business aircraft and said the show was working towards 900 exhibitors overall, building on the 306 confirmed at ACE26, among them Dassault Aviation, Bombardier and Robinson Helicopters.

Brad Wright, ACE show sales manager at Business Air News, called the partnership with AERO Friedrichshafen “a natural, complementary fit for business aviation.”

Bretzel was keen to stress that the closer business aviation focus would not come at the expense of AERO’s general aviation roots, pointing to the return of the glider community to Hall B5 this year.

ACE began life at Cambridge Airport as The Business and General Aviation Day (BGAD), built on a pledge to “pack three days into one”, and has grown considerably since relocating to London Biggin Hill in 2015 under its current name.

AERO Friedrichshafen itself runs as a four day event through to 17 April at Messe Friedrichshafen, spanning aircraft from civilian drones and gliders to microlights, gyrocopters, helicopters, touring and training types and business jets, alongside new propulsion systems, electric flight and advanced avionics.

Emerald Media joins as a communications partner ahead of 2027, working alongside Volker Thomalla, head of communications for the aerospace portfolio, and a strengthened AERO marketing team. Organisers are urging exhibitors to secure their usual booth locations for 2027 given high early interest.
