India's GVHL signs for H145 helicopters
GVHL has performed over 220,000 flight hours for more than 3,250,000 passengers; low by commercial standards, but exceptional for heli ops. It is now preparing to introduce an H145 to its relatively young fleet.
GVHL celebrates signing with Airbus for delivery of a multi-utility configured H145.

Global Vectra Helicorp Limited (GVHL), India's largest private sector rotorcraft operator, has signed a contract with Airbus for delivery of an H145 helicopter in multi-utility configuration. The contract includes the option to acquire a second H145 helicopter, similarly configured. The first aircraft will be delivered by mid-2020 and the second one before the year end.

“We very much look forward to introducing the H145 to our fleet,” says CEO A J Baker. “It has the highest standards of safety and state of the art technology, and comes with excellent levels of customisation and comfort.”

The helicopter's eight-seat, multirole configuration allows an operator to quickly adapt the aircraft for a variety of missions such as VIP transport, offshore operations and emergency medical services.

Airbus India and south Asia president and managing director Anand E Stanley adds: “India's terrain and vastness make it an ideal helicopter country. Helicopters can save lives and change lives in India, be it as air ambulances, air rescuers or for offshore activities. And Airbus has a range of helicopters that meets and exceeds every requirement, which is why we are the leader in India's civil helicopter market.”

“The H145 is a best-in-class product that serves a gamut of purposes,” concludes Airbus Helicopters, India and south Asia head Ashish Saraf. “The changeover time for the different missions is minimal and this is what makes the H145 a winner worldwide.”
