Luxivair SBD continues to invest
Annual corporate jet activity is on the rise at San Bernardino International airport in California, thanks in part to significant financial investment in its FBO facilities.

Luxivair SBD at San Bernardino International airport is continuing to make significant investment in its five-star facility and services in order to support consistent increases in its ramp activity. The FBO has added extra staff and courtesy cars and a 10,000-gallon fuel truck and technology that helps customers stay organised.

“Annual corporate jet activity at Luxivair SBD continues to rise steadily, climbing 27 per cent in 2018, and international traffic has demonstrated even stronger momentum, rising 51 per cent over the previous year and with an average annual increase of 73 per cent since 2014,” says director of aviation Mark Gibbs. “This growth has been directly fuelled by improvements to the FBO and we remain committed to constantly investing in its future.”

Of its expanded amenities, upgraded technology and equipment, competitive pricing and MRO partners, manager Wendy Bechtel adds: “It's not enough for us to be the most accessible, cost-effective alternative to southern California. We're dedicated to keeping our customers on time. By adding more friendly associates and line-service people, and upgrading equipment and technology, we're able to help them stay on schedule and to turn their aircraft around quickly.”

Situated just 60 miles east of Los Angeles, Luxivair SBD markets itself as an alternative to the congested and costly FBOs in southern California. Its two-storey atrium lobby boasts travertine floors, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and views of the San Bernardino Mountains. Amenities include a conference room, flight planning room, crew lounge, exercise room and a theatre with stadium seating; the full-service business complex additionally provides ground support, concierge professionals, brand-new courtesy vehicles, car rentals and hotel shuttles. Onsite US Customs and Immigration is available, while based MRO businesses enable can support aircraft in the event of technical issues.
