Southern Sky Aviation opens FBO at ECP
The facility will feature a distinctive fleet of vehicles meticulously selected to suit the local climate and activities from mid-size to large SUVs, and an array of other vehicle types will be readily available.

Southern Sky Aviation in Florida's Panama City is working with Go Rentals at the site's FBO facility. This establishment is strategically situated at the Northwest Florida Beaches International airport and opened its doors on 1 April.

The facility is tailored to accommodate guests travelling to the region for leisure, providing convenient access to Destin and Jacksonville. Go Rentals will be the designated on-site provider of car rental services for Southern Sky Aviation at the airport.

Southern Sky Aviation boasts a newly constructed, state-of-the-art terminal and hangars that uphold high standards for services and amenities at Northwest Florida. Collaborating with Southern Sky Aviation, Go Rentals aims to curate an unparalleled experience for guests, centred around a stress-free travel encounter. Similar to all Go Rentals locations, this facility will feature a distinctive fleet of vehicles meticulously selected to suit the local climate and activities from mid-size to large SUVs, and an array of other vehicle types will be readily available to cater to the diverse needs of families, golf enthusiasts and vacationers alike.

Trissy Pickett, vice president of aviation development at Go Rentals, expresses excitement about the guest experience this collaboration will offer. “The experience here will be outstanding service Go Rentals is known fo; an aviation-trained concierge welcomes guests planeside, ensuring all their needs are met, with paperwork completed prior to their arrival. While this may sound simple, no other car rental company can match this level of service, providing planeside delivery with a deep understanding of flight terminology and ramp access. This is what makes our partnership with Southern Sky so exceptional; a shared commitment to delivering the ultimate guest experience. We eagerly anticipate the opening of this location with Southern Sky Aviation and the enhancement of the traveller experience.”

Darryl Brewer, president of the FBO division at Southern Sky Aviation, expresses enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: “We are thrilled to partner with Go Rentals at ECP to launch this beautiful new FBO in response to the demand for a higher level of service in this area.”

Brewer underscores the importance of convenience and consistent services, particularly for part-time residents visiting during peak warm-weather seasons. He emphasises: “Northwest Florida Beaches is in proximity to the most stunning white sand beaches and clear blue waters in the world. The quality of leisure activities in this region warrants a seamless sky-to-ground experience that immerses our guests directly into that vacation mindset. That's precisely what this partnership embodies.”
