London Biggin Hill awaits 2019 developments
December was a busy month for LBH with above average levels of charter requests leading to an increase in large cabin aircraft movements. It all bodes well for the coming year.
Business development director Robert Walters expects the volume of charter requests and large jet movements achieved by LBH in December to continue over the coming year.

London Biggin Hill airport (LBH) is predicting an exciting 2019, hot on the heels of the latest WingX Advance report identifying the airport as one of the fastest growing in Europe over the past 12 months.

Over the course of 2018 LBH grew by 12 per cent, in contrast with a one per cent decline in business aviation activity for London airports. Success is fuelled by its London Heli Shuttle service, an extension to opening hours, competitive handling fees and charges and an absence of slot restrictions, with much of the activity stemming from the charter market.

Business development director Robert Walters says: “Following significant investment in recent years we have had an extraordinarily successful 2018 and finished the year on a particularly strong note. During December we led the London market in terms of charter requests and saw a big increase in large cabin aircraft movements of more than 25 per cent. We have a number of projects coming to fruition during 2019 and we are thrilled to be starting the year on such a positive note. We have a fantastic offering here at London Biggin Hill and are looking forward to welcoming more customers and aircraft in the next 12 months.”
