Ice Shield adhesive allows faster de-ice boot replacement
Ice Shield wing de-icing boots can now be fitted using the company's latest innovation, a pressure sensitive adhesive application designed to reduce down-time. Boots can be inflated in just two hours.
Ice Shield’s PSA product line is designed to provide a faster, neater and easier installation than traditional contact cement methods.

Ice Shield De-Icing Systems has launched Ice Shield PSA, a pressure sensitive adhesive installation application that will reduce installation labour and allow minimal aircraft downtime when replacing wing de-ice boots, a Peel.Stick.Fly. application.

Ice Shield’s PSA product line will, it says, provide a faster, neater and easier installation compared to the traditional contact cement installation: "Ice Shield PSA boots can be inflated just two hours after installation for a quick turn, getting the aircraft back to service in about the time the log book entry is completed."

Ice Shield PSA parts are offered for most of its catalogue of certified Ice Shield wing boots, allowing customers to have a choice of either the PSA application or traditional contact adhesive application. All Ice Shield customers have unlimited access to technical support and customer service, plus all PSA parts are covered under the standard Ice Shield no-hassle warranty.

“We are thrilled to announce the new Ice Shield PSA product line and showcase the quality and reliability of our new parts,” says director of sales and marketing Peter Murdza. “All Ice Shield PSA parts are guaranteed to be delivered within 72 hours or less.”

Ice Shield PSA products are not available for sale or shipment to Canada, UK, Germany or France. Ice Shield standard wing boots are available for sale and shipment worldwide.
