Russian Helicopters to demonstrate capabilities at China show
More than 400 Russian helicopters are already registered in China, but Rostec says this is only the beginning. Airshow China in Zhuhai provides an opportunity to show what the Mi-171A2 and Ansat are capable of.

The Russian Helicopters holding company, part of Rostec State Corporation, will be presenting full-scale equipment samples for the first time at the Airshow China exhibition, running from 6-11 November in Zhuhai. Its Mi-171A2 and Ansat helicopters will participate in the expo before embarking on a demonstration tour of countries in southeast Asia.

The Mi-171A2 and Ansat models have already arrived in China, where they are performing training flights before the airshow's flight programme opens. The rotorcraft will also be on display at the Russian Helicopters stand, where the OEM's specialists will present to potential customers about their competitive advantages.

“China is one of the key operators of helicopters not only in Asia, but worldwide," says Russian Helicopters general director Andrey Boginsky. "Today, there are more than 400 Russian helicopters registered in the country, but this market is continuing to expand rapidly. It needs modern civilian aircraft, and we are prepared to offer these.

"At Airshow China, we will be showcasing the Mi-171A2 and Ansat, models which have received particular interest from our Chinese partners. We have already begun the process of certifying these helicopters in China. We expect that this process will shortly be completed for the Ansat, and we expect the Mi-171A2 to be certified by mid 2019."
