Decade-old Silver Air continues to shine
Silver Air's PURE management model and its flagship BBJ set it apart from the crowd. Having started out 10 years ago with two pilots - CEO Jason Middleton and CFO James Maxwell - its now has 30 jets on its books.
Starting with a single jet and two pilots a decade ago, Silver Air now manages and operates more than 30 jets, including a VVIP configured Boeing Business Jet.

Silver Air, based in Santa Barbara, California, is celebrating 10 years of private jet management and operations. Starting from a single jet and two pilots a decade ago, the company now manages an international fleet with bases across the US.

“It's exciting to hit a milestone like this for a company that we started from scratch,” says CEO Jason Middleton, who co-founded the company with CFO James Maxwell in 2008. “We're doing things differently within an industry that values tradition, and that's worked well for us and our clients. Above all, we want to thank our clients, the Silver Air team, and all of the amazing people who have helped make this possible.”

Middleton and Maxwell were also Silver Air's first two pilots when the company started out operating a single jet for charter in southern California. The company now manages and operates a fleet of more than 30 light to large-cabin jets around the clock and around the world from Gulfstream, Dassault, Bombardier, Embraer, Cessna, and Hawker/Beech. The fleet's preeminent aircraft is a VVIP configured BBJ, which offers global reach and seating for 16.

“The introduction of PURE Jet Management has brought on new opportunities for Silver Air, like our BBJ, which is one of the only BBJs in the world with unrestricted charter availability," states president of business development Chuck Stumpf. “We're anticipating continued growth over the next 10 years while we build out the infrastructure to maintain the highest levels of service and support for our jet owner partners and charter clients.”

To continue providing the highest level of client service as the fleet has expanded, Silver Air has also grown its infrastructure with an expanding team supporting operations bases in southern California, northern California, Texas and most recently New York.

Silver Air's charter operations have earned an ARGUS Platinum rating and the company is currently IS-BAO stage II compliant. It is also a member of the Air Charter Safety Foundation.
