CHC Helicopter and Neptune Energy, an oil and gas production company, is celebrating the inaugural flight of a CHC H175 from Norwich to the Cygnus A and Cygnus B installations in the southern North Sea as part of a 22-month contract with extension options.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue our 17-year aviation partnership with Neptune, which has become one of our largest North Sea customers,” says CHC regional director Mark Abbey. “I believe these awards reflect the excellent safety performance, on time departure performance and value we continue to deliver.”

This contract comes in addition to the two-and-a-half-year extension CHC secured with Neptune in November last year to operate to 32 locations in the southern North Sea using three AW139 aircraft based at Den Helder in the Netherlands.

“Congratulations to the teams in Norwich and Den Helder on these new agreements,” says president and CEO Karl Fessenden. “We look forward to continuing to build on our relationship with Neptune and meet its aviation transportation needs for the duration of these projects and beyond.”

CHC's third H175 entered service in late April.
