Babcock Mission Critical Services has secured a contract for offshore crew transfer with TAQA, an energy holding company headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Under the agreement, Babcock will transfer passengers from its Aberdeen heliport to the TAQA-operated Harding platform in the central North Sea, approximately 200 miles north east of Aberdeen.

The company's fleet of Sikorsky S-92 helicopters will operate up to five flights a week for TAQA, with services expected to begin in early July.

Offshore director Rob Dyas says: "This is an important contract for us and we are delighted to have been selected. Our dedication to safe and efficient operations will see passengers flown between Aberdeen and the Harding platform in our specially-configured S-92s. We are looking forward to providing these critical aviation services."
