EASA-approved sim delivers Twin Otter training
Read this story in our April 2018 printed issue.

Canada's Pacific Sky Aviation has had its Twin Otter Series 400 Full Flight Simulator qualified to Level D by EASA, and is using it to provide high altitude training for Series 400 Twin Otter customers.

CEO Michael Coughlin says: "We are proud to add EASA qualification to the Transport Canada certification received in December of 2017 for the Twin Otter. This reaffirms that the simulator meets the highest standards for initial, recurrent and differences training."

The simulator will also be the world's first true seaplane trainer, providing pilots with the opportunity to safely practice takeoffs and landings in a range of sea states, wind and water conditions, including 'glassy' water. The seaplane configuration is expected to be ready for training later this year.
