Maltese operator Luxwing, which has aircraft based in Ibiza, London, Manchester, Milan, Nice, Paris and Venice, has taken delivery of a Phenom 300. One of the first business jets to be delivered by Embraer this year, the aircraft joins three Phenom 100s and seven Citations on the Luxwing roster.

“The Phenom 300 is a light business jet, but if you look at it from outside you will get the impression that it is a bigger aircraft,” comments ground operations postholder Daniele Guida. “It has a nice design and it is equipped with latest generation avionics. We know that clients love it for its spacious and bright cabin and its baggage capacity.

“For us it is a good compromise between performance and cost, and it also enables us to use the same crew as the Phenom 100. This roster flexibility will be made following some additional crew training.”

Luxwing's scope includes aircraft management, acquisitions and CAMO. This year it plans to increase its fleet and up recruitment. “Demand is growing so we estimate a 20 to 30 per cent increase in flight hours by the end of 2018,” adds Guida.
